Sujono brothers celebrate two wins in two weeks

Richard T. Lee of Canada and Max Lee Chieh-po of Chinese Taipei had reason to celebrate after winning big in the past two weeks.

The tournament victories have also given one Malaysian family reason to rejoice, with two brothers caddying for the winning players.

Two weeks earlier at Thai Country Club, elder brother Agus Sujono bagged for Chinese-Taipei star Max Lee, who won the International Series Thailand championship with a final 63 over American Peter Uihlein.

Little brother Eddy [primary image] played the similar role for Richard T. Lee in his surprise four-shot victory at the BNI Indonesian Masters on Sunday. After caddying for the Canadian for just two weeks in 2017, this was only his third week on the bag in his second stint.

In a three-week span, the pair played together at the Black Mountain Championship and International Series Thailand, as well as the BNI Indonesian Masters.

That alliance paid off: Lee and Sujono advanced from T9 at the Black Mountain tournament to T2 at the International Series Thailand before winning at Royale Jakarta Golf Club.

The 37-year-old, who previously won with India's SSP Chawrasia in 2016, could not contain his joy after being praised and splashed in fruit juices by his elder brother and friends following the victory.

He stated, "I'm overjoyed to win this event. It was a long time coming, so I asked all of my friends to pray for me this weekend, and I'm simply glad it occurred. It's especially wonderful because my elder brother won last week, and I won this week, and it seems like a very rare occasion for both of us to have such fantastic wins - it's a unique mix."

Agus, who has previously won on the bag for Chan Shih-chang, has also been having a successful run with Max. They backed up their triumph with a T8 in Jakarta, after finishing third in Black Mountain. He said: "I was overjoyed since the International Series Thailand is such a large competition. Yes, I expected him to win since he has been playing really well.

"I was overjoyed and thrilled for Eddy, since he is my younger brother. This is a really meaningful time for the family."
